On Thursday night, a woman’s purse was stolen by thieves in Mohali during a snatching incident in Phase 10. Snatchers in Mohali attacked a female counsel working at the high court late Thursday night.
When the snatchers targeted the 40-year-old woman, who was strolling along the street close to the market in Mohali’s Phase 10, she informed police that her handbag had cash and essential papers worth about ₹5,000. Around 5:30 p.m., she was ready to go inside her home when the event happened. After stealing her pocketbook, two young males on a bike ran away.

Woman’s Purse Stolen by Thieves in Mohali
On Thursday, a woman’s pocketbook was stolen by two males riding motorcycles close to Mohali’s Phase-10 market. She was mounting the ramp to her house after getting out of her car when the two young people on a bike approached and grabbed her pocketbook, according to Charanjit Kaur.
The advocate who is the victim of this snatching incident told the police that she lost her purse, which included cash, a cell phone, jewelry, and documents, to snatchers. Police Investigation
After filing a formal complaint, police began their investigation. The accused is the subject of a case filed at the Phase 11 police station under the pertinent provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Following the report, SHO Gagandeep Singh went to the spot to look into it. He looked at CCTV video from the area, which showed suspects escaping on a bike. Police said that it was challenging to track down the snatchers since they had taken off the motorcycle’s license plate.
Gagandeep Singh, the house officer for Phase 11 station, stated that police were looking through local CCTV video to find the culprit and that the incident was being investigated. The family filed a case at the Phase-11 police station against unidentified individuals. According to the investigating officer, they are examining the situation and will apprehend the guilty parties shortly.
Numerous instances of snatching and theft have been reported from different parts of Mohali within the past two days. In as many as eight occasions over the last eleven days, snatchers have targeted women, older persons, truck drivers, and delivery personnel.
Street crimes in Mohali also significantly increased in 2024, with 189 snatching cases recorded in the first 11 months, up from 150 the year before. Accordingly, Mohali had 14 recorded robberies this year, up from only three the year before.
